Book by Tim Berners-Lee, This is For Everyone

What a fantastic local library find! I highly recommend this book.

I was one of those tech pioneers riding the internet wave while working for IBM.

From 1996 to 1998, I was teaching HTML and HTML editors like FrontPage. Plus, I was teaching various browser courses where we convinced office workers that the internet had business value. 🤣 Silly, but true!

In 1998, I started teaching backend internet technology, for example, TCP/IP, networking concepts, DNS, IIS, and other server software. And that experience led to many more technical backend writing and teaching jobs. 🤓

So, I thoroughly enjoyed his technical descriptions of his designs and work.

Tim makes this book easy for everyone to read.

If you rode the early internet wave like I did, you’ll find it particularly interesting and meaningful. I had no idea that my early work was so closely following his work!

I will definitely check it out again to finish the ending or purchase it. For now, it goes back into circulation so someone else can enjoy.
